KJ Trust Ceilidh 2017

The KJ Trust Ceilidh will be taking place on Saturday 18th March 2017. As in previous years, the event will be held at Quorn Village Hall (64 Leicester Road, Quorn). However, unlike previous years we will not be providing food at the event, so please bring your own snacks, drinks (alcoholic or otherwise) and glasses.

The event starts and 7:30 pm finishing at approx. 11:00 pm, and will involve lots of dancing, clapping, and cheering! Tickets cost £10 per person and must be bought in advance. To buy tickets please contact Alan directly, or email info@kjtrust.com.

The Winning Team

Last Saturday saw the return of the KJ Trust Quiz Night. Over 90 people attended to take part travelling from as far as Manchester and Sheffield. The evening was a huge success raising over £750.

Alan Completes First Marathon at Age of 65!

Alan took part in the Virgin London Marathon on Sunday 24th April on behalf of the Katherine Jacobs Trust. His target was to raise £100 per mile. He is delighted to report that he has achieved his goal by raising over £2,600 to date. He finished in an impressive 4 hours 13 minutes and 25 seconds.

Quiz Night 2016

The next KJ Trust charity Quiz Night will take place on Saturday 5th March 2016.

As usual, the quiz will take place at Quorn Village Hall. The quiz will start at 7:30pm and finish at 11:30pm (doors open at 6:45pm).

Tickets are £7.50 per person, and include a cold buffet. Bring your own drinks and glasses.

2015 Ceilidh Fun

On Saturday 14th March the Katherine Jacobs Trust had its biennial Ceilidh at Quorn Village Hall. Over 70 supporters of the Trust attended the event, which included barn dancing, a cold buffet and a prize raffle

The dancing began promptly 7:30pm and continued well into the evening. As in previous years, accomplished professional caller Charlie Corcoran did an superb job directing the dancing, jigging and swinging.

Cake Sale and Raffle at Stonehill High School

Friend of the Trust, Linda Marten organised a cake sale and raffle on Friday the 4th of April. The event took place during the morning break in the staffroom of Stonehill High School, Birstall.

KJ Trust Quiz Night Raises Over £500!

Last Saturday saw the return of the the KJ Trust Quiz Night. Over 80 people travelled to Quorn Village Hall to take part in the event. The night was a huge success and raised over £500 for the Trust.

As in previous years, Jenny Winning was the quiz master and did a superb job keeping the teams in check. After 7 rounds of challenging questions the winning team was "Six Pack" led by Linda Marten from Barrow Upon Soar.

Park Hill Golf Club Raise £500 for Trust

Last Saturday, Alan Jacobs, chief trustee, attended an event at the Park Hill Golf Club. Chris Savage and Rob Bint, pictured below with Alan, presented the Trust with a cheque for £500. Chris, who is the women's captain, and Rob, who is the men's captain, raised the money over the past year by running various golf related charity events.
